Happy Holidays!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with Matt's parents and Cade and I went to the Chumchal's for Christmas day while Matt worked. : ( We had our own Christmas once Matt got home. Cade has really gotten the hang of ripping presents open! He had a blast! Well I am 32 weeks as of yesterday. We had another ultrasound on Monday and it is definitely a Lexi! I am excited that I can finally work on the nursery before I get too uncomfortable...as if that hasn't happened already. LOL. Lexi is now head down and deep in the canal, which I could alredy tell. I felt her hiccups the other day very low, so I knew she was pretty low. The doctor says that is no indication of how early or late she might come as they tend to get in position earlier the second time around. I am really hoping she as eager to meet me as I am to meet her! I have 8 weeks to go and I am so ready!! I have been having lots of BH contractions too. Well that's about all that's new on our end. Happy New Year!!!

10 weeks to go!

Wow, Lexi will be here before we know it. 30 weeks today! I traveled for work last week for the last time during this pregnancy. Loved the cankles I was sporting after my 4 hour flight back from Connecticut. I was totally expecting snow there as we actually got snowed in at our team meeting last year this time. Who'da thunk I'd see snow here at home when I returned?? I couldn't wait to pick Cade up from daycare to see how he'd react to the flurries yesterday. His sitter said she took all the kids outside but they were "unimpressed." LOL. Cade did point at the snow falling, but was not as excited as I thought he'd be. Snow's really no fun anyway unless you can make a snow angel or Frosty. : ) We will have another ultrasound done on 12/22 and I can't wait! I didn't get one this far along with Cade, so I'm looking forward to seeing how big Lexi has gotten. That's about all the news over here. Stay warm!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ok, so I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday. As of yesterday I am 28 weeks along, and a week into my third trimester. Yahoo! Time is just flying right on by! I am already at the point of going to the doctor every two weeks, which just came up on me so fast. Nothing too new to report here. Lexi is still bouncing around day after day. I keep showing Cade my belly and saying "baby" and he now tries to repeat after me but ends up saying "baba." It's so cute. He also will come up to me and randomly pull my shirt up to see my belly whenever he feels like it. Oh, but this isn't limited to mom as Uncle Brandon found out recently. hehe. Cade said "throw it" for the first time yesterday as he threw his sippy cup down on the floor. He also caught a ball today for the first time all by himself. He is growing up to be such a little man. Matt, Cade and I are visiting my mom in Arkansas but will be going home tomorrow. Pray for us as we make the 11 hour journey home. Every year mom and I go Black Friday shopping, and this year Matt and Cade joined us. Well, Matt and Cade guarded the cart while mom and I wiggled our way through the unusually crazy crowd. Even with my big preggo belly, I was still able to work my way through the crowd like a Black Friday pro. LOL. It's so much fun! Well I hope you all have a great weekend, and happy shopping...

26 weeks!

One more week until I enter the 3rd trimester. Woohoo! We are just about done with Cade's new room. We have one empty wall which will hold his dresser as soon as we get it. We just haven't purchased it yet. I have Lexi's bedding (ladybugs) but am not opening or washing anything until I have one more reassuring ultrasound, which hopefully will be next month sometime. Not a lot to report here. I am feeling pretty good still, though I have officially entered the uncomfortable stage. I knew it was coming. I can't complain. This pregnancy has been a breeze compared to my first trimester with Cade. And boy oh boy was he worth it all. I just love my sweet little angel. The other day he turned to mommy to give me a kiss while sitting on daddy's lap and then he turned back to daddy to give him a kiss and went back and forth a good 3-4 times kissing us both. These are memories that last a lifetime. You just cannot not imagine how much you will love your child until you have one. It's indescribable, a miracle and the most joy you could ask for in life. Ah, my preggo hormones are making me sappy. Will end here. Tata for now.

24 weeks

24 weeks today! Lexi has been bouncing around like a mexican jumping bean! I love to feel her moving and kicking. We've officially decided her name will be Lexi Morgan. Yay for the most indecisive people I know making a decision! We have somewhat started on Cade's new bedroom. The bed is all set up and some of his stuff is moved in there, but we still have a ways to go. I plan to go out this weekend and look for some more decor for his room. Wish me luck! We went to Kyle Gertson's 1st birthday party last weekend, which was a costume party. I've attached a couple pictures of Cade in his horse costume. The cutest horse I've ever seen, if I say so myself! : ) I'm still pretty comfortably pregnant, which will probably last just a few more weeks. 3 more weeks until I enter the third trimester. Is it just me or is this pregnancy flying by?? I'm sure chasing a very active one year old helps in that area. Cade can now get in and out of his toddler bed on his own, though just to play - not sleeping there yet. He can also get down from a regular size bed and the couch on his own. Every morning he drags one of his pillows out to the middle of the living room floor and plops down for a few minutes more rest. It's the cutest thing. Aunt Christine also bought him a rather large stuffed horse for his first birthday which he also likes to drag all the way from his room to the living room and plop down on. He's a funny kid. I could go on and on about my adorable boy, but I'll end here. Hope everyone is doing well!

22 weeks

I'm 22 weeks today and still feeling good! Matt and I have settled on the first name. It's definitely Lexi. Now the middle name. Raine and Erin are out. Morgan and Rilyn struck me out of nowhere and I like them better. I think Matt likes Morgan better, but we haven't made a final decision yet. I still have a ways to go and already I'm anxious to meet this little girl! I'm nowhere near prepared yet though. We have to move Cade into the bedroom across the call before her arrival and redecorate the nursery. Cade's room will be cowboy (of course) with a toddler bed, and Lexi's room will be ladybug theme. I can't wait to get going on it, but I think I'll focus on Cade's room first to make room for Lexi. I think I'm hitting the nesting stage a little early this time because I am already starting to pack up some of Cade's clothes that are too small and non neutral. I cleaned out his dresser the other day and am working on closets now. What a project! Cade had his first dentist appt today. They call it a happy visit, just to get him used to going. He was not having anything to do with the blue rubber gloved hand in his mouth! But he did get a neat toothbrush and a little fish toy. : ) He loves to brush his teeth, so we're happy about that. He puts the tooth brush in his mouth and shakes his head back and forth. Too cute! That's about all for now. Will keep you all posted on the middle name decision.

It's a...

GIRL!!!!!

We are thrilled! Cade's going to have a little sister! Now if only I can figure out what I want to do with the nursery! I am 21 weeks today. We will have another ultrasound sometime in December. We're still tossing names around. Lexi is likely the first name, but not sure yet about the middle name. I like Erin and Raine (or Rain, or Rayne). I think Matt likes those too, but we'll see. We still have a little time. Well off to day dream of pink...

19 weeks

Hi all!

I'm 19 weeks pregnant this week and getting very anxious to find out if I'll be redecorating the nursery! I've been feeling really good. Of course, the second trimester is the honeymoon phase. Soon enough I'll be in miserable discomfort and begging this little one to make an appearance. Oh how it's worth it though! As for Cade, he is one now and quite a character! He is more and more fun everyday. I just love him so much. Not quite sure what he'll think of #2, though I constantly tell him mommy's got a baby in her belly.
